To those of you waiting in long lines on Saturdays and Sundays to visit the one you love, to those of you mailing postal money orders and stamps, to those of you with a loved one in reception that you can't see or talk to, to those of you that are filled with sadness and frustration, anger or even relief, this site is dedicated to you.
My loved one
My fiance', Matthew, is currently doing time in Wasco State Prison. He was charged with a petty theft with a prior. He is in reception-has been since August 5th 2001. Prior to Wasco he was moved back and forth from Men's Central in Downtown L.A. to Lynwood Jail. No matter what, I always visited him. Sometimes I waited in line for 6 hours just to see him for 15 minutes.I haven't been able to see him or talk to him since they moved him to Wasco. It is a very strange feeling. I know he is out there, we have a bond that no prison could ever break, but it is painful, lonely and sad not to be able to have him in my life as I would like to. My hope is that those of you with a loved one behind bars will share your thoughts and feelings so that we can build a network of friends and support.
